“Regatta” is inspired by memories of the great Volga River, near which I spent my childhood. As a teenager, I went sailing several times with my father, who was a professional photographer and was often kindly invited to document this rugged sport for history. Oh, these were amazing emotions associated with great risk. This story gave me the idea to create a fascinating series of oil paintings on the theme of navigation.
